Emergency Medicine - Physician

Emergency Department

  • ED Volume: 9,000
  • 24-hour shifts
  • EMR: MEDITECH Expanse EHR
  • Specialty Coverage: Orthopedic specialist is on call 50% of the time and lives locally, often making himself available even when not on call; general surgery is on call 30% of the time but does not live locally. If general surgery is needed when they are not on call, a transfer will be required
  • Volume: Typically around 23 patients per 24 hours. During peak season (June-August), the volume increases to approximately 29 patients per 24 hours
  • Transfers: Smooth transfers to 5+ nearby receiving hospitals. A helipad is available

Salary

  • Excellent compensation with an estimated employed W-2 base pay range of $131/hour to $177/hour PLUS comprehensive USACS benefits, a 10% company-funded 401k and USACS ownership stock, or an estimated 1099 base pay range of $165/hour to $206/hour.
