Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations, utilizing their expertise in various medical fields. This role requires a strong ability to make quick decisions and perform critical procedures while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patient care.

Duties

• Assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions in the emergency department.
• Perform essential procedures such as suturing, intubation, and other life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
• Stay updated on current medical practices, research, and advancements in emergency medicine.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Manage cases involving various specialties including but not limited to Dermatology, Hematology, Pulmonology, Oncology, and Pain Management.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Physician shifts- 7a-7p, 7p-7a
• Looking for a minimum of 5+ shifts a month consistently
• EMR-Medi Tech
• Annual Volume- 24,500
• Number of beds- 17

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to emergency care.
• Experience in ER or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of emergency medicine.
• Ability to conduct research related to emergency medicine practices is a plus.
