Job Description
The Department of Emergency Medicine at this academic center are seeking a BE/BC emergency medicine physician to join their growing division. The current faculty members in the Department of Emergency Medicine possess diverse interests and expertise leading to extensive state and national-level involvement. Applicants with fellowship training in toxicology, sports medicine or EMS are preferred.

- High volume adult emergency department that includes 55 main emergency medicine beds with 16 additional spaces
- Adjacent pediatric emergency department with 16 pediatric beds
- Dynamic academic division that includes 36 Emergency Medicine physicians and 12 Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residents
- Faculty includes multiple emergency medicine subspecialist with training in EMS, toxicology, ultrasound, and sports medicine
- Opportunity to supervise medical students, emergency medicine residents, advanced practice providers, and other rotating residents depending on location
- Work schedule includes 7 ,8, or 9 hour shifts - Annual obligation of 1,350 hours
- Mandatory M4 Emergency Medicine rotation
- Full Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke support – Trauma patients are co-managed
- Development opportunities for educators and medical directors- 2 year long in-house development programs, and Masters in Education option
- ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and ABEM certifications required
- Core EM point of care ultrasound (POCUS) training required
