Locums Emergency Medicine Need in Texas

Coverage Needed:

• As soon as credentialed - ongoing

Schedule:

• On-site, call coverage, weekends, nights
• Monday-Wednesday: 6a-4p, 8a-6p, 12p-10a, 2p-12a, 4p-2a, 8p-6a
• Thursday-Sunday: 6a-4p, 8a-6p, 2p-12a, 4p-2a, 8p-6a

Clinical Information:

• Experienced, high volume, level II trauma center, 24/7 trauma surgeons on site, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Primary Chest Pain Center
• Number of beds: 423 hospital beds, 49 ED beds
• Census: ~70,000 visits/year
• Daily admissions: 25%
• Multi-specialty support and consultant backup 24/7
• Patient population: Urban
• EM physicians typically on staff per shift: 2-3, single coverage overnight for 4 hours and during the morning for 2 hours

Required:

• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
• Current Flu Vaccine
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
• Board Certified ABEM
• ACLS/PALS/ATLS
• Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
• Active TX License
