Locum Emergency Medicine Physician * 120267: South Central, Texas
Dates: ASAP - 8/24/2024
Responsibilities
Triage patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize treatment accordingly.
Provide immediate medical attention to patients suffering from acute illnesses or injuries.
Stabilize patients before transferring them to appropriate departments for further treatment.
Create detailed patient records including history, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Mentor and supervise junior staff members and medical students during their rotations in the emergency department.
Participate in continuous education programs to stay updated with the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health regulations, and safety standards at all times.
Qualification: A degree in medicine (MD or DO) with specialization in Emergency Medicine.
Certifications: BLS. ACLS, PALS
Preferred experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an emergency physician or similar role within a hospital setting.
Proficiency in handling critical situations efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of care.
Empathy and compassion towards patients from diverse backgrounds.
