- Main facility and FSED
- Shift times:
- Main: 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, 9p-7a
- FSED: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Clinical Information:
- Approximately 30 ED treatment spaces
- Census: 115/day at main, 70/day at FSED
- ER Admissions: 25% of patients seen total, 40% of patients seen by physicians at main ED. 5% at FSED
- All specialties consistent with a level 3 trauma center are available, OB is available, in-house intensivist and hospitalist service
- Patient population: Urban, middle class
- Trauma center: Level 3, Moderate-High acuity and complex pathology, Physicians do not see low acuity at Main ED
- Support staff: Adequate nurses, techs, paramedics, security, nurses, techs, paramedics
- Common cases: All typical ED presentations. No low acuity at Main ED
- EM physicians typically on staff per shift: 4 physicians per day at Main ED, 2 at FSED. 2 APPs per day at all sites
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Board Certified in one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Active TX License
- Required procedures: Intubation, central line, chest tube, conscious sedation, fracture reduction, laceration repair are most common; All typical ED procedures
