The Department of Emergency Medicine at Holyoke Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our established team.

Position Highlights:

  • Great opportunity to evaluate and treat patients in the Emergency Department and collaborate with other disciplines and services to provide high quality emergency care to patients presenting to the department
  • Work with case management resources for effective and safe discharge planning
  • Provide appropriate supervision and review of services rendered by physicians and other non-physicians involved in direct care of patients on service
  • Ensure that consultation with sub-specialists is utilized appropriately and in a timely manner in order to optimize patient care
  • Participate in the hospital quality improvement activities and in the hospital utilization management activities
  • Shift: Full-time 120 hours (12 shifts/month)
  • Highly competitive compensation and benefits package: A commitment of 10-night shifts has a 15% boost. Productivity bonus (wRVUS + patients seen has the potential of increase of $5-10/hour)

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine; successful completion of an internal medicine residency program or other primary care specialty
Licenses/Registrations: Current license from the Mass. Board of Registration in Medicine; current DEA License; Current license from the Mass. Dept. of Public Health for a controlled substance license; Board certified or Board eligible in clinical specialty; ACLS certification
BC/BE preference
