OVP Health is seeking a highly qualified, Board-Certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician with EM experience to join our healthcare team at Holzer Health System in Gallipolis, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced physicians committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic emergency department setting.
Position Overview:
As a core member of our physician-led organization, you will provide vital emergency care services in a 20-bed emergency department with an annual volume of approximately 21,000 visits. The position offers a full-time, permanent role with flexible employment options, including W2 employment with benefits or independent contracting.

The position offers a full-time, permanent role with flexible employment options, including W2 employment with benefits or independent contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt, high-quality emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including advanced practice providers, to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records using Paragon EMR system.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance patient safety and care efficiency.
- Provide consultative support and facilitate appropriate patient transfers when necessary.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Board Certification in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with EM experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience; new graduates are not eligible.
- Must hold a valid medical license to practice in Ohio.
- Requires VMS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to employment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts within a 24/7 schedule, including night shifts if desired.
- Willingness to relocate or commute within the immediate local area; relocation assistance may be discussed.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time, permanent position with 12-hour shifts, covering 24/7 operations.
- On-site administrative support to facilitate clinical workflow.
- Competitive hourly rates, with options for W2 benefits or 1099 independent contracting:
- W2: $240/hour + benefits (health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, CME allowance)
- 1099: $250/hour, with an additional $10/hour for night shifts.
