Emergency Medicine Locums Position in Seward, AK - $300 per hour

We have an outstanding Emergency Medicine locum position available in Seward, AK, where your skills are needed to provide excellent emergency room coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in patient care!

Position Details:

Start Date: March 3 – Ongoing

Coverage Needed: Needing coverage 7-10 days per month

Schedule:

• 12 hour shifts: 8a-8p or 8p-8a
• Back up call for 12 hours (before a day shift and after a night shift) so that they can be called back in for certain traumas or if multiple traumas or critical patients when a second physician may be needed.
• Call back is infrequent.

Submission Requirements: ***All requirements must be met for submission.***

• Board Certified or Board Eligible: REQUIRED
• Licensed in AK only: REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years experience: REQUIRED
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS - REQUIRED
• Clean Malpractice Record: PREFERRED

Practice Overview:

• Patient Volume: Average of 8 patients seen per shift.
• Beds in Department: 6
• Trauma Level: N/A
• Very Small Critical Access Hospital
• Support Staff: ED Physicians, MA: 1, RN: 2, 1 Aid or Patient Care Tech Most Times.
• Back up call for 12 hours (before a day shift and after a night shift) so that they can be called back in for certain traumas or if multiple traumas or critical patients when a second physician maybe needed. Call back is infrequent.
• Admissions Daily: 0-2
• Single Provider Coverage
