Job Description: We are seeking a Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine OR Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician with at least one year of Emergency Medicine experience to provide solo Emergency Room coverage. This is a temporary position covering multiple 12-hour shifts, as outlined below.

• Saturday, November 30, 2024 – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Sunday, December 1, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Friday, December 13, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Monday, December 16, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Wednesday, December 18, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday, December 19, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Friday, December 20, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Saturday, December 21, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Sunday, December 22, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Thursday, December 26, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Sunday, December 29, 2024 – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide solo Emergency Room coverage during 12-hour shifts.
• Manage a daily patient volume of 90-100 patients.
• Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift.
• Work alongside 2 mid-level providers (Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners).
• Deliver care in a facility with an open ICU and an annual patient volume of 32,000.

Requirements:

• Must be Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained with at least one year of Emergency Medicine experience.
• Must be credentialed with North Carolina Medicaid and enrolled in PECOS.
• Proficiency in using Meditech 6.1 EMR.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive pay with travel costs capped at $500.
