Coverage Needed:
- December 2025 - ongoing
- Cover main ED and FSED
- On-site, call coverage, weekends, nights – Fair scheduling to include mixture of days, nights, weekdays, and weekends, No Call Responsibilities
- Shift Times:
- Main ER – 6a-4p; 9a-8p; 11a-11p; 4p-3a; 8p-7a + 2-3 APPs and 6-8 EM residents
- FSED ER – 6a-6p; 6p-6p Doctor; 10a-10p APP; 2p-12a EM Resident
Clinical Information:
- Number of beds: Hospital has 250 beds, ER has 43 beds
- Census: Main ER: 150 pts/day, FSED: 60 pts/day
- Daily admissions: 35% admission rate
- Annual ER admissions: 50k
- Patient population: Variety of patients
- Non-trauma center, Comprehensive stroke and STEMI center
- 3 year EM Residency program on site
- Wide variety of case type and acuity at main, Typically low acuity at FSED
- Support Staff: Fully staffed with ED nurses and techs, 2-3 APPs per day, 6-8 EM residents per day, Additional off service residents, RNs, Techs
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Board Certified American Board of Emergency Medicine
- Active FL License
- ACLS/BLS/PALS
- Required Procedures: Typical EM procedures
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
