As a member of our team, you'll travel to different healthcare facilities, responding to emergencies, providing immediate medical assistance, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role requires adaptability, quick thinking, and a commitment to delivering exceptional medical services in diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance to patients in critical condition.
- Triage and Assessment: Conduct rapid assessments of patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize treatment accordingly.
- Medical Interventions: Administer appropriate medical interventions, including medication administration, wound care, and stabilization techniques, to stabilize patients and prevent further deterioration.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Perform or assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment, in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with clear and concise explanations of their condition, treatment options, and follow-up care instructions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies, and promptly report any issues or discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality, infection control, and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: Possess a valid medical degree from an accredited institution and maintain active licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine.
- Clinical Experience: Have a minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of medical emergencies and trauma cases.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and field environments, often under challenging conditions or limited resources.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to a supportive and inclusive work culture.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make rapid decisions and prioritize actions based on patient needs and available resources.
