Facility in Pittsfield, MA seeking EM Locums coverage

Rates: $300/hr

Job Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP, with full-time commitment until next summer.

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts available, no call required.

• Trauma Level: 3

• Annual ER Volume: 44,000

• EMR System: Meditech Expanse

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days

Coverage Details:

• Physician Schedule: 8-hour shifts.

• Patient Load: Average of 12 patients per 8-hour shift, 18 patients on a 12-hour shift.

• APP Coverage: Available from 8am to 10pm in Pittsfield.

• Admissions: Handled by the hospitalist or admitting service, not by the Emergency Medicine Physician.

• Trauma Team Response Time: 15 minutes.

• Code Responsibility: Emergency physicians do not handle codes outside the ER.

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts License – REQUIRED (not accepting IMLC due to credentialing).

• BLS, ACLS, ATLS – REQUIRED.

• Board Certified/Eligible (ABEM, AOBEM) – REQUIRED.

• COVID Vaccination – REQUIRED.

• Clean Background/No Malpractice – REQUIRED.
