Coverage Needed:

  • ASAP - Ongoing
  • 3+ months
  • 12 hour shifts

Clinical Information:

  • Support of advanced practice providers (APPs) and manage an annual volume of approximately 28,000 patients
  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating and managing acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients
  • Stabilize and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring resuscitation and advanced life support interventions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult with specialists, and arrange appropriate transfers, if necessary
  • Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for the management of emergency cases, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide education, support, and a patient-centered care experience
  • Full-service, acute care hospital

Required:

  • DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
  • Current Flu Vaccine
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
  • Board Certified in one of the following:
    • American Board of Emergency Medicine
    • American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
  • Active TX License
