We are in search of Emergency Medicine Physicians (must be ABEM/AOBEM certified) for a hospital located in Northeast Houston, specifically in Kingwood, TX. They are looking for ideally 2 full-time physicians at this time. If you are located in the Houston area, or would like to fill your schedule and travel to Houston for work, this is the position for you. You are located on the outskirts of Houston and would avoid the heavy traffic that may incur closer to the main part of the city. You would also be working alongside other physicians and residents if you prefer to be in a teaching environment.

Job description:
  • Setting: Level II Trauma Center located in Kingwood, TX
    • 45,000 annual adult patient volume
    • 29 ED beds
    • 2.2 patients per hour
    • 140 total ED visits per day
    • 40% admissions
    • Must be able to treat all ages
    • Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Program on-site
    • Dedicated Adult and Pediatric Emergency Rooms, OB on-site with separate OB ED
    • EMR: Meditech
  • Schedule: about 10-15 shifts/month (may have some flexibility)
    • 40 hours of physician coverage
      • 6a-4p, 10a-8p, 4p-2a, 8p-6a
    • 41 hours of APP coverage
  • Credential within 60-90 days
Required:
  • Must be Board Certified in ABEM or AOBEM
  • Must have active and unrestricted DEA
  • Must have active TX license
  • Minimum 1 full year of emergency medicine experience required
Compensation:
