ENVOY, a division of Envision Healthcare, is seeking locum Emergency Medicine physician in San Antonio, TX!
Methodist Children’s Hospital-EM (San Antonio, TX)
- Total Beds: 202
- 7 Operating Suites
- 94-bed, Level IV neonatal intensive care unit
- 40 private, ER treatment rooms
- Avg Annual ED Volume: 42k-48K
- Avg PPH: 1.8
- Backup Specialty: Cardiac, oncology, pulmonology, orthopedics, neurosurgery
- EMR: MediTech
- Trauma Designation: Level III
- 45 hrs. Physician Coverage: 6a-3p, 9a-6p, 3p-12a, 6p-3a, 9p-6a
- 48 hrs. APP Coverage: 6a-6p, 12p-12a, 6p-6a
- Region’s first fully equipped sensory-friendly ED
- FIRST - Level IV NICU in San Antonio & one of the - LARGEST - in the region

- First Pediatric Aortic Heart Valve procedure in Texas

Physician Credentialing Qualifications:
- Residency: Successful completion of an approved ACGME or AOA-accredited postgraduate training program in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
- Any physician falling under the “grandfather clause” declaring physicians board eligible if they completed 8,000 hours of clinical practice in emergency departments by 1988, will NOT qualify.
Experience:
- MUST have a 12-month current experience in an Emergency Department that offers pediatric services with an annual census of 10,000 patients or greater.
