Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor helping our nation Veterans. They're seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.







Locations Available- Please note at time of name clear:

VES office locations:
1. Iron Mountain- 1 day per week needed
Provider’s own office locations- Provider must have their own office
  1. Brimley- 10 days per week needed (multiple openings)
  2. Atlanta- 1 day per week needed
  3. Alma- 2 days per week needed
  4. Saginaw- 2 days per week needed
  5. Marquette- 1 day per week needed
  6. Wakefield- 1.5 days per week needed
  7. Sturgis- 4 days per week needed
  8. Lansing- 4 days per week needed
  9. Lewiston- 2 days per week needed
  10. Norway, 2 days per week needed
  11. Rogers City- 4 days per week needed
  12. Alpena- 4 days per week needed
  13. Sault S Marie- 4 days per week needed
  14. West Branch - 2 days a week needed
  15. Manistique - 1 day a week needed
  16. Ludington - 1 day a week needed
  17. Gaylord - 2 days a week needed
  18. Bad Axe - 1 day a week needed
  19. Presque Isle - 1 day a week needed
  20. Harrisville - day a week needed
Details:
  • Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
  • Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
  • Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
  • Option to work ½ days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
  • No prescribing, no treatment
  • Quick credentialing & onboarding
  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) – will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
  • Use of Goniometer required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
  • Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
    • Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
  • Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal
  • Record review is required in most cases
  • Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
  • Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency
  • Active and unrestricted full license
  • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
  • CV needs current home address listed for presentation
  • Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
