Shift Requirements

• Shifts Needed Per Month: 8-12 minimum
• Minimum Shifts Required: 12 shifts per month

Experience Requirements

• Experience Required: Less than 10 years to expedite the credentialing process

Support Staff and Facilities

• Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • 24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions
  • 24-hour real-time Radiology reading of all studies
  • 24-hour in-house X-ray and CT with ultrasound on call at night

Patient and Volume Information

• Patients Per Day: 30-50, depending on the location
• Annual Volume: Average of 10,000-23,000 annual patient visits per emergency department
• Trauma Level: All locations are Level II
• Patient Population/Age: All ages

Electronic Medical Records

• EMR: EPIC

Skills and Responsibilities

• Manage multiple patients with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries including:
  • Heart attacks
  • Stroke
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Severe infections
  • Pneumonia
• Perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments

• Board Certification: Must be BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or any other accredited Emergency Medicine Fellowship program
