TeamHealth is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to join our high-performing emergency department (ED) team as the facility medical director (FMD) at Glendale Memorial Hospital, located in the highly desirable Los Angeles County.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a strong and cohesive team of all ABEM-certified emergency (EM) physicians, providing exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility. As the FMD, you will balance clinical practice with administrative leadership, collaborating closely with TeamHealth and hospital leadership to drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care and provide direct patient care in the ED
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a highly skilled team of emergency physicians
  • Foster collaboration among TeamHealth and hospital leadership teams
  • Oversee departmental operations and ensure compliance with clinical and administrative standards
  • Champion communication, team building, and continuous quality improvement
Qualifications:
  • Board-certified in emergency medicine (ABEM/ABOEM)
  • Proven leadership experience in an emergency department setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
