UNC Health Lenoir is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to lead our Emergency Department. Job Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight: Ensure high standards of clinical care are maintained and oversee the treatment of approximately 41,000 patients annually.
Operational Management: Manage the regular operations of the Emergency Department, including physician scheduling, staffing, and resource management to ensure optimal patient flow and care.
Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
Education and Training: Support the professional development of the medical team through ongoing education, training, and mentorship.
Collaboration: Work closely with hospital administration, other departments, and community partners to support the hospital’s mission and strategic goals.
Qualifications
Licensure: Eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Prior leadership experience is preferred, but not required.
