Coverage Needed:
- ASAP - Ongoing
- 3+ months
- Main facility and associated FSEDs
- Shift times: Most 7a-7p and 7p-7a at all sites
- There are two 8 hour shifts available per day
Clinical Information:
- Number of beds: 28-31
- Trauma center: Level 1 -2
- Support Staff: APP coverage depending on shift and time of day. EM residency program. APP training program as well
- Average patient census: Depends on location. Most FSEDs are 2 patients per hour. Main sites are more variable
- Common cases:
- FSEDs - Vertical 3 patients and Level 4/5 patients
- Main facility - Mainly Vertical 3 patients (abdominal pain, chest pain, etc.), unlikely to work in the Main (high acuity) section of these facilities unless specifically requested
- Number of EM physicians on staff per shift: 1-2
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Board Certified in one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Proficiency in all emergency care procedures is required (Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, Orthopedic stabilization, etc.)
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
