Eight hour shifts
Sixteen shifts per month
Only two night shifts per month
Split between two locations less than 30 minutes apart
Both are level II Trauma
One has 40 beds and the second has 36 beds
65,000 visits/year and 45,000 visits/year
Two year track to full and equal say partnership
$325,000 salary first year plus $100,000 sign-on/starting bonus
$350,000 second year
Partnership starts year three
Partners average $450,000

Job Responsibilities

Provide medical care for patients with a variety of medical problems, including acute illness and injury
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, radiologic studies, and electrocardiograms
Stabilize patients with life-threatening conditions and make appropriate referrals for specialty care
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all patient care activities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical developments and best practices in emergency medicine

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Emergency Medicine or completion of residency in Emergency Medicine

Working Hours

8 hour shifts
16 shifts per month
2 night shifts per month
