Job Summary:

Methodist Healthcare Systems is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team at Methodist ER - De Zavala in San Antonio, Texas.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Incentive/Position Details:
  • 13,800 annual volume
  • 9 ED beds
  • 24 hours of physician coverage
  • Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • MediTech EMR
  • Trauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Children’s Hospital
  • 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
  • Meditech EMR
Methodist ER De Zavala and Methodist Healthcare System:
  • The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.
  • Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
  • Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
  • Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
  • 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
  • Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image
