We are seeking an experienced and dynamic physician to serve as Section Chief in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. As the Section Chief, you will lead and oversee the Pediatric Emergency Medicine division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency care to pediatric patients. You will provide clinical leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction to advance the mission and objectives of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine section.
Job Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals working in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pediatric Emergency Department, ensuring efficient patient flow, timely triage, and optimal resource utilization.
Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to standardize care delivery and enhance patient outcomes in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and collaboration within the Pediatric Emergency Medicine section, promoting teamwork, communication, and continuous quality improvement.
Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of clinical staff within the Pediatric Emergency Medicine division.
Provide mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities to junior faculty, residents, fellows, and other trainees interested in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Collaborate with other departments and specialties within the institution to ensure coordinated and integrated care for pediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Engage in academic activities, including teaching, research, and scholarly pursuits, to advance the field of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.
Represent the Pediatric Emergency Medicine section in leadership meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives within the institution.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership accomplishments
An interpersonal skillset that focuses on team-building
Board certification or eligibility for certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Strong clinical skills and expertise in pediatric emergency care.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and academic excellence.
