💼 Compensation & Work Model

🔹 1099 Independent Contractor

• $285/hour

• 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends)

• Flexible block scheduling (6–12 shifts/month)

• 24-hour physician coverage

• 12 hours of mid-level assistance during peak times

• Professional Liability Insurance (Paid)

🏥 Facility Overview – CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital

• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

• 10,000 annual ED volume

• Accredited by The Joint Commission

• Offers a full range of services including:

  • Emergency Care (24/7)

  • Critical Care Unit

  • Obstetrics

  • Surgery

  • Advanced Radiology (MRI, CT, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound)

  • Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy

  • TeleHealth and network referral relationships for transfers

📋 Qualifications

• Board-Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred (ABEM)

• Will consider Family or Internal Medicine with:

  • 3+ years full-time ED experience

  • Minimum 250 ED case logs in the last year

  • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or academic setting

• Must be proficient with:

  • Full-spectrum emergency procedures: Intubations, Central Lines, Chest Tubes, Procedural Sedation, Critical Care, Airway Management, OB/GYN & Deliveries, Adult & Pediatric Resuscitation

• Comfortable treating all ages

• Current PALS, ATLS, ACLS

• ND Medical License or ability to obtain

• EMR: Meditech
