People First in Lewiston
Local Team Collaboration:
- At St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, our strong, collaborative Emergency Medicine team includes six physicians and three advanced practice providers.
- Sub-Specialty Support available: Ortho; General Surgery, Cardiology including a cath lab; Neurosurgery; Interventional Radiology; Pediatrics; Behavioral Health; Oncology
Qualifications:
- We welcome both physicians coming out of training and experienced physicians looking for a career change.
- Emergency Medicine Board-Certified/Board Eligible (ABEM or AOBEM)
- 2025 Residents are encouraged to apply.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling:
- 24 hours of physician coverage complemented by 12 hours of APP coverage
- Physicians work 8 am-8 pm or 8 pm-8 am; APPs work 11 am-11 pm
- Full-time is 120 hours per month. We currently have a need for a part-time physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- 11 bed ED + 4 Fast Track beds that flex
- Level III Trauma
- 27,000 annual patient volume
- 14-17% admissions
- Meditech EMR
- Excellent backup support
