Looking for a Locum Emergency Medicine physician for Nov and Dec coverage!
Dates of Coverage: Nov 26 & 30 Dec 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31
Schedule: 24 hour ED shifts 8a to 8a
Percent of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 5%
Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: <5%
Percent of ED Patients Transferred per Day: <1%
Total Number of Beds: 16
Annual ER Volume: 3600
Number of ED Physicians in Group: 5
Fast track in ED? No
Documentation System/EMR: Meditech
Does ED Staff Respond to House Codes? Yes
Who Writes Admission Orders? If ED Physician, Indicate Process for Transition to Accepting Physicians: Hospitalist
Do Hospital Bylaws Require a Specific Response Time for On Call Physicians (List Time)? 24 hour shifts in house no call for ED
Is ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio? No
Describe Referral / Transfer Protocol: Variety of facilities. Affiliate facilities an hour away. Other tertiary 2+ hours away.

Certification Requirement (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, TNCC etc.): BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS
24 Hour Availability for Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)? Yes for xray, CT. MRI 2 days/wk
24 Hour Availability for Laboratory? Yes
Blood Bank - Certified by AABB? Yes
24 Hour Availability for the OR? No
24 Hour Availability for Anesthesia? No
Surgical Services: 2 days per week, scheduled procedures, if on site at time of ED visit and clinically appropriate will take to OR
