Wapiti Medical Staffing is seeking a physician (MD or DO) for locum tenens Emergency Department coverage in Cedar Falls, located in northeastern Iowa.
PHYSICIAN DUTIES / FACILITY DETAILS
- Physician (MD or DO) for PRN locum shifts in ED.
- 12 and 24 hour shifts available (starting at 8:30); flexible scheduling
- 6,000 annual ED volume (15 patients per 24 hrs.)
- EMR is Cerner (training provided)
- Typical timeline for credential 2 months.
- Iowa medical license and DEA/CSA
- Must be board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (EM), Family Medicine (FM), or Internal Medicine (IM); American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS) is not accepted
- Third-year EM medical residents will be considered with documentation of good standing, per residency program director.
- Required life support certifications include ATLS, ACLS & PALS is waived for ABEM & AOBEM. ATLS is waived for ABPS EM physicians-- must maintain ACLS & PALS.
- Mandatory Reporters Training of dependent adult & child abuse (MRT) required
- COVID 19 vaccine required
