Seeking Dermatopathologist- Northern California

CHICO, CALIFORNIA (USA). Pathology Sciences Medical Group is seeking an AP/CP board certified pathologist with subspecialty board certification or board eligibility in dermatopathology. This is a partnership-track position and both experienced pathologists and fellows completing their training in 2024 are encouraged to apply.

Pathology Sciences Medical Group is an independent private practice group located in Chico, CA, and is comprised of eight pathologists. We have expertise in multiple subspecialties including hematopathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology and GI pathology. Our annual case volume is approximately 30,000 surgical cases, 3,000 non-gyn cytology cases, and 20,000 pap smears. The group also provides Laboratory Medical Director services for Enloe Hospital and several small hospitals in the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of a general pathology practice and should have strong general surgical pathology skills. The caseload will be approximately 50% dermatopathology.

Chico is in the northern part of California's Central Valley, 100 miles north of Sacramento, with a city population of about 100,000. Enloe Medical Center is a 300 bed independent non-profit facility that serves as a regional hospital hub. Chico is the home of the California State University at Chico, Butte College, Bidwell Park, and Sierra Nevada Brewery. We are known for outdoor recreational activities such as biking, hiking, fishing, and camping. We are located 3 hours from San Francisco, 1.5 hours from Sacramento, 1.5 hour from Lassen Volcanic National Park, 3 hours from Lake Tahoe, and 3.5 hours from Ashland, Oregon.
