A very successful Dermatology group is seeking a Dermatologist with knowledge in all areas of general dermatology to join our busy and expanding practice. We are looking for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Dermatologist who can treat patients with a variety of skin conditions, ranging from acute to chronic and benign to malignant. The ideal candidate has experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments. The candidate is a leader who can collaborate well with other staff to improve patient outcomes. They also emphasize educating patients on preventive care techniques and can communicate important health information effectively and compassionately. Our preferred candidate would also have hands-on experience with a broad range of fillers and neurotoxins and be familiar with the common skin rejuvenation devices and procedures.
- The schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00-4:30 pm with no weekends.
- EMR is EMA.
- The Practice Management System is Carecloud.
- The laser is done twice a month with an outside company.
- The physician and PA will be sharing the patient load.
- Mohs Surgeon goes in 1 day per week on Tuesdays.
- Someone with experience would be a plus.
- The facility is less than 10 years old.
- The need is for 1 or 2 new Physicians to join the team.
- The facility has a total of 7 exam rooms already in use.
- All Procedures are done such as Shave removal, Cryosurgery, Topical chemotherapy, Photodynamic therapy, Electrodesiccation and curettage, Conservative excision, Mohs micrographic surgery.

- Use appropriate techniques to diagnose and treat skin ailments
- Evaluate patient through questions, examinations, symptom review, and medical testing
- Examine patient skin for abnormalities or malignancies
- Requests and performs biopsies, sample tissue collections, or other tests as needed
- Analyze patient test results
- Counsel and educate patients on hygiene, diet, and disease prevention
- Perform skin surgery to improve appearance, make early diagnoses, or control diseases such as skin cancer
- Set patient goals and discuss a treatment plan
- Establish timelines, tasks, and medical needs of the patient
- Develop treatment plans for medications or skin therapy to help patients reach their goal
- Prescribe medications, hormonal agents, or topical treatments, and monitor patient intake
- Document patient records and progress including symptoms, medications, and treatments
- Communicate with assistants and other team members to ensure therapies are being administered properly
- Provide dermatologic consultation to other health professionals
- Treat every patient with respect and compassion and ensure compliance with current medical laws and ethic
- Conduct research to better serve patients
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree; successful completion of an American Board of Dermatology-accredited Dermatology Residency Program.
- Successful completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (U.S.M.L.E.)
- Certification by The American Board of Dermatology and licensed to work in the state of Louisiana.
- Participation in further medical education and/or professional organization memberships are preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
