Job Description
The Department of Dermatology seeks a cosmetic dermatologist to join our full-time faculty! Join a busy team of cosmetic dermatologists and advanced practice providers headed by Dr. Suzan Obagi in our Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center located in Wexford, PA and Pittsburgh, PA.
Located 20 minutes from the heart of the city, our state-of-the-art Wexford practice houses the Department’s quickly expanding cosmetic program. Located among rolling hills in a beautiful suburban neighborhood, our 11,000 square foot, newly built office is the ideal setting for an aesthetic practice. We have 3 procedure rooms and over 10 lasers ranging from q-switched, fractional CO2, vascular lasers, hair removal lasers, non-ablative lasers, and skin-tightening devices. Patients come from the entire tri-state region seeking neuromodulators, fillers, lasers, liposuction, mini-facelifts, and blepharoplasties. Our second location is in the beautiful neighborhood of Shadyside just 10 minutes outside the city. This location serves our laser and injectables population of patients and draws patients from a wide part of the state.
Board-certified and board-eligible physicians with interests in cosmetic and medical dermatology are encouraged to apply. The incumbent should expect a culture focused on collaboration, a large referral base, competitive salary, malpractice, health insurance, and CME allowance.
Our department serves a diverse, medically complex population within the greater Pittsburgh area, while also drawing patients from throughout Pennsylvania and the tri-state area. The expansive University of Pittsburgh/UPMC campus includes 40 hospitals, 800 outpatient clinical locations, and an international healthcare presence.
The Department of Dermatology sees patients in our seven clinics, providing services that include general dermatology, phototherapy, laser, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic services as well as inpatient consultations. Our Dermatopathology unit is onsite in our Oakland campus, with four full-time dermatopathologists and two dermatopathology fellows.
Our teledermatology program provides synchronous and asynchronous care to patients throughout the state, and is utilized for inpatient consults and in-office e-consults with community physicians.
UPMC is an affirmative action, equal-opportunity employer. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability or their protected veteran status.
