Our client is seeking a locum Critical Care physician for coverage starting March 2025. The shifts are 24 hours with 12 hours onsite and 12 hours of offsite call coverage. The physician will cover a 10-bed ICU and must be able to perform bronchoscopies. Ongoing stints are 3-4 shifts.

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

  • March 14 (8 AM) - March 17 (8 AM)
  • Ongoing dates will be needed and are 3-4 day stretches

Details:

  • 8 AM - 8 PM: Onsite coverage
  • 8 PM - 8 AM: Night call coverage
  • Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level III
  • Duties: The physician will round on the patients in the ICU. The ICU is open, so the physician will work with other specialties that can consult if necessary.
  • FTE: 0.5
  • Required Procedures: Bronchoscopies, some line placements, and intubations.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: RN
  • Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage due to open position.

EMR Required Training:

  • Module (learn lessons): Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
  • EMR Modules & Onsite Training: Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Onsite EMR training is required and it is looped into the morning of the provider's first day.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Critical Care - Required
  • Board Certified Subspecialty in Pulmonary on top of Critical Care BC - Required
  • Active CO license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - Required
  • Provider must be able to perform all of the required procedures - Must note - Required
  • Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked)
  • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in the job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
  • Must be available for dates listed in the job description to be considered - Required
  • Clean Malpractice/background - Required, candidates who present with a self-inquiry NPDB report at time of presentation will be considered with priority.
