Job Description
Our client is seeking a locum Critical Care physician for coverage starting March 2025. The shifts are 24 hours with 12 hours onsite and 12 hours of offsite call coverage. The physician will cover a 10-bed ICU and must be able to perform bronchoscopies. Ongoing stints are 3-4 shifts.
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- March 14 (8 AM) - March 17 (8 AM)
- Ongoing dates will be needed and are 3-4 day stretches
Details:
- 8 AM - 8 PM: Onsite coverage
- 8 PM - 8 AM: Night call coverage
- Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level III
- Duties: The physician will round on the patients in the ICU. The ICU is open, so the physician will work with other specialties that can consult if necessary.
- FTE: 0.5
- Required Procedures: Bronchoscopies, some line placements, and intubations.
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: RN
- Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage due to open position.
EMR Required Training:
- Module (learn lessons): Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
- EMR Modules & Onsite Training: Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Onsite EMR training is required and it is looped into the morning of the provider's first day.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Critical Care - Required
- Board Certified Subspecialty in Pulmonary on top of Critical Care BC - Required
- Active CO license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - Required
- Provider must be able to perform all of the required procedures - Must note - Required
- Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked)
- Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in the job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
- Must be available for dates listed in the job description to be considered - Required
- Clean Malpractice/background - Required, candidates who present with a self-inquiry NPDB report at time of presentation will be considered with priority.
