Fast Facts:
- Must be comfortable with ICU patients
Opportunity Details:
- Shift: 7p- 7a (needs are Sunday- Thursday)
- Manage PRN issues for Medical ICU patients (CCU patients and overflow ICU/stepdown patients on 3T – not surgical ICU patients).
- Usual volume is 4-12 patients
- ICU admissions–typical 0 to 2 per shift
- Receive handoff from residents at start of shift and give sign-out at end of shift
- Also covers floor phone/PRN issues on 5L patients
- Ability to do central lines (internal jugular vein approach) and arterial lines (radial artery approach) is a benefit, but not required.
- Basic ventilator management. In-house Respiratory Therapy.
- In-house Anesthesia. No intubations.
Requirements:
- Must be physician (no APPs in ICU)
- Must have unrestricted license, DEA, ACLS
- Can be Medicine or surgery trained or subspecialties (Gastro, Neuro, Plastics, rheumatology, etc). No Family Medicine
