StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a large, private Trauma Surgery group to assist them with the recruitment of a lead APP to join their team of 6 Trauma Surgeons and 8 APPs at a level 1 Trauma center located in Virginia.

  • Practice Highlights / Qualifications:
    • Must have experience in Trauma and ICU
    • ATLS is required
    • Strong preference for someone with 1st assist experience
    • Work 15 shifts per month
    • Level 1 Trauma designation by the state and Level 2 Trauma designation by ACS
    • Multiple Trauma bays in the ED as well as dedicated Trauma OR's
    • One of Virginia's busiest adult and pediatric Emergency Departments with 95,000 annual visits
The facility you will work in is a 793-bed level 1 trauma center that was established in 1972. It is a certified primary stroke center and provides comprehensive medical and surgical services including orthopedics, joint care, oncology, robotic surgery, emergency care, behavioral health, and cardiovascular care. The hospital went through a recent renovation, which included expanding their ED and adding 4 additional Trauma bays. It also boasts a 32-bed Medical Surgical Trauma ICU along with a 10-bed Trauma Stepdown Unit.
