Job Responsibilities

Must be comfortable in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment. Must have flexibility to cope and work well in a fast-paced environment. Team structure is 1 MD during the day and 1 NP/PA, 1 NP/PA at night and 1 MD as ICU backup. 9:30am provider rounds with entire care team (RT, PT/OT, Social Work, Case Management, Pharmacy, Dietitian). When physically present in the ICU the intensivist runs codes (backup from ED physician). Hospitalist is also in house 24/7.

Qualifications

Board Certification: Required. Internal Medicine and/or Critical Care Medicine
· License Required: Active MN license. Willing to license
· DEA: Required
· Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
· Minimum Experience Required: MUST have 2 year critical care fellowship. Prefer someone with 3-5
years experience but will waive IF fellowship has been

Working Hours

In unit 8a-6p or 7a-7p. Night shift on call, 5p-8a.
Schedule: On site and night call
Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Variable. Will consider PRN and FT providers.

Skills

Special Procedures: Thoracentesis, paracentesis, arterial and central lines, mechanical ventilation management and bronchoscopy (BAL and therapeutic) and intubation.

Skills Required: Must have 2 year critical care fellowship. Must be willing to supervise ICU NP/PA’s
