Job Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Grafton, OH 44044
Duration: 06 months with possible extension
Shift: Standard Shift (40 hours/per week)
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with intra and interdepartmental staff to provide treatment for behavioral health patients, adhering to nationally recognized treatment standards.
• Document patient interactions using an electronic health record system.
• Conduct patient exams, and write evaluations and reports.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Manage patient medication and treatment plans.
• Make referrals for specialized care or treatment when necessary.
• Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and relevant American Correctional Association standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews.
• Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed.
License and Education:
• Must hold a valid Ohio Medical License.
• Doctoral degree (MD or DO).
• Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist.
• DEA Certificate
