  • Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 15-18 patients per shift. A facility is seeking physicians to provide full-time inpatient coverage, filling 25 day shifts with pager call per month. Each shift requires one MD, covering inpatient care from 7 AM to 5 PM, followed by pager call from 5 PM to 7 AM. Providers will be scheduled in a rotating pattern of four shifts (40 hours plus night call). Candidates must be able to work both inpatient shifts and night call.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide inpatient care from 7 AM to 5 PM, managing patient admissions, rounding, and treatment planning.
- Take pager call from 5 PM to 7 AM, responding to urgent patient needs and consult requests.
- Work collaboratively with a team of providers to ensure continuous patient coverage.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system.

Qualifications

- Board-certified or board-eligible MD.
- Experience in inpatient medicine with the ability to handle both day shifts and overnight pager call.
- Active medical license (or willingness to obtain) in the required state.

Working Hours

- 25 day shifts per month, each from 7 AM to 5 PM.
- Pager call required from 5 PM to 7 AM following each shift.
- Providers will be scheduled in rolling blocks of four shifts (40 hours + night call).
- Multiple providers will be scheduled to ensure full coverage.

- Ability to manage inpatient cases efficiently and respond to after-hours pages.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
