Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician to provide specialized cardiovascular care in Kearney, NE. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including performing interventional procedures and managing acute cardiac conditions.
The schedule for this position is varied, with weekend coverage required. Additionally, the physician will participate in an on-call rotation of 1:3, providing urgent and emergency cardiac care as needed.
The locum physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating acute and chronic cardiac conditions in both hospitalized and outpatient settings. Key duties include performing interventional cardiology procedures, such as angioplasty and stent placement, and interpreting EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other non-invasive cardiovascular studies.
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. The physician will also provide on-call coverage, responding to urgent and emergent cardiac cases to ensure timely and effective patient care.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
- Active Nebraska State Medical License
- Strong procedural experience in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and other interventional techniques
