We are seeking a Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician to provide coverage in West Burlington, IA. This opportunity includes a combination of clinic, inpatient rounding, and interventional procedures within a well-established cardiology program.

The schedule consists of weekday clinic hours from Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM. Weekend call is required from 8 AM Friday to 8 AM Monday, with weekday call rotation from 8 AM to 8 AM, Monday through Thursday. Physicians can expect to see 1-2 interventional inpatient admissions per day, along with 4-5 general cardiology patients. The patient population includes adults aged 18 and older.

The physician will perform a variety of interventional cardiology procedures, including balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), heart catheterization, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, atherectomy, and medical management of vascular disease. Additional required procedures include stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, echocardiogram readings, Holter and event monitor readings, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and cardioversions.

This position is based in a Level III Trauma Center, and the hospital utilizes Cerner as its EMR system.

Requirements:

· Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology

· ACLS, BLS

· Active Iowa License
