Arnot Ogden is looking for a locum Cardiologist to cover a minimum of 2 weeks per month!





Job Description:

  • Reason for coverage: Open position with a need for coverage.
  • Coverage schedule: minimum of 2 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row.
  • Weekly schedule: Monday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM, including night and weekend call
  • Weekday hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Weekend call: Starts Friday at 4:30 PM and ends Monday at 7:00 AM.
  • Evening call: Starts at 4:30 PM and ends the following morning at 7:30 AM.
  • The provider would be in house Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, take call Monday-Friday for the night shift and then take weekend call through Monday morning.
  • Average inpatient admissions per physician per day: Approximately 10, depending on inpatient consults.
  • Total number of beds: 256.
  • Number of ICU beds: 20.
  • Cardiologists in the group: 3 non-invasive cardiologists.
  • Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage.
  • Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students.
  • Patient age demographic: 18 years and older.
  • Documentation system/EMR: Currently Flex and Merge Cardio.
  • Required procedures: Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress echo.
Schedule needed- Please advise if the provider can work all or every other week:
  • April 7th starting at 7:30am through April 14th ending at 7:30am
  • April 14th starting at 7:30am through April 21st ending at 7:30am
  • April 21st starting at 7:30am through April 28th ending at 7:30am
  • May 5th starting at 7:30am through May 12th ending at 7:30am
  • May 12th starting at 7:30am through May 19th ending at 7:30am
  • June 2nd starting at 7:30am through June 9th ending at 7:30am
  • June 16th starting at 7:30am through June 23rd ending at 7:30am
  • June 23rd starting at 7:30am through June 30th ending at 7:30am
Potential for ongoing needs Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active NY license
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Required to work 7 days per week- 2 times monthly
  • List the providers availability at the time of presentation
  • Travel- Within 6 hours
