Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Locum Job in Orlando, Florida

Seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to help cover Level 4 NICU in Orlando, Florida. This is a great opportunity for dedicated NPs to gain experience in a high-acuity environment while supporting our incredible team of physicians and APPs.

Multiple Position Overview:
--Day Shift (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 10-hour shifts)
--6-7 Nurse Practitioners working alongside 3 physicians.
--Each NP will cover approximately 10-12 admitted patients per shift.
--Night Shift (4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 16-hour shifts)
--Two Nurse Practitioners working with one physician.
--Coverage for admissions, emergent consults, and all emergencies for admitted babies.

About NICU:
--Bed Capacity: 100 beds (average census 95-100).
--Patient Demographics: Level 4 NICU caring for infants as young as 22 weeks with severe respiratory complications, surgical cases, and more.

Common Procedures:
--Endotracheal Intubation
--Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement
--Lumbar Puncture
--Umbilical Artery/Venous Catheterization
--Nasogastric (NG) & Orogastric Tube Placement

Requirements:
--Florida License (Active and in good standing).
--Proven experience with positive feedback in previous roles.
--Ability to perform the following independently:
--Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement (including removal).
--Endotracheal Intubation.
--Umbilical Artery or Vein Catheterization.
--EMR System: EPIC
--Schedule: Approximately 21 day/night shifts per month, starting in June.
