**Heart Failure Cardiology Specialist opening in Michigan**
Royal Oak, MI - Detroit metro area
**Position Details**
- Practice Type: Full-time, hospital-employed position within a developing heart failure program
- Clinical Scope:
- Deliver inpatient consultative services and outpatient clinical care
- Perform procedures including right heart catheterization, vasodilator studies, pulmonary artery sensor implantation, and endomyocardial biopsy
- Participate in shared care for LVAD and transplant patients with plans to develop a dedicated inpatient HF service and LVAD program
- Additional procedural opportunities (e.g., left heart work or imaging) based on training and skills
- Academic Involvement:
- Educate and mentor cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students
- Engage in clinical research to advance the field of advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with multidisciplinary teams locally and across the health system, including advanced heart failure programs at other regional centers

**Qualifications**
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
- Medical Degree (MD/DO) with unrestricted Michigan medical license
- DEA Registration in Michigan
- Passion for education, mentorship, and research
