General Cardiology Opportunity in the Sierra Foothills - Shareholder Track

With a growing patient demand, excellent patient care, and providers' quality of work/life balance taking center stage, Mercy Medical Group seeks to add a General Cardiologist to the group who is open to the following:
- Offering excellent non- or limited-invasive, non-interventional general cardiology care to adult patients in our outpatient clinic and at our community hospital
- Provide general cardiology care 3-4 days per week in our outpatient cardiology clinic
- Implant pacemakers and loop recorders (not required skills)
- Perform Cardioversion
- Read echoes, Holter monitors, stress tests, and EKGs
- Participating in a 1:4 shared hospital call
- No outpatient clinic on hospital call day
- Round on inpatients
- Consult with ED and Hospitalists
- Oversee the hospital’s cardiology lab
- Perform TEE's (required skill)
- Collaborating with the hospital’s impressive Cardiac Rehab program and staff
- Enjoying a strong referral base from within our community’s providers
- Partnering with highly trained, competent, and caring support staff

- Compensation Range: $494,000 - $523,000 / Year

Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- A valid and unrestricted California medical license
- Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Pay Range
$237.00 - $251.00 /hour
