The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, BC/BE, non-invasive Cardiologist to serve as a member of its Cardiology Team. Job Responsibilities
• Competitive Starting Salary $350,000-$400,000
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., NO CALL
• Provide Cardiology care for inpatients and outpatients at the facility and select Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)
• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiac diseases
• Deliver interventions throughout the full spectrum of Cardiology care
• Perform full general cardiology examinations on established or newly consulted patients, including electronic consultations (e-Consults) in the Cardiology clinics or Urgent Care Department for signs or symptoms of cardiac disease
• Supervise and interpret exercise stress tests
• Input progress/consult notes for inpatient and outpatient encounters within prescribed timelines
• Ability to recognize patient signs of physical distress and monitor the patient's condition
• Knowledge of computerized patient records systems
Qualifications
• Board Certified/BE in Cardiology
• Certified in Nuclear Cardiology
• Five (5) years of experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
