A Non-Interventional Cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and managing heart conditions without using invasive procedures.
Principle Function includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
Diagnostic Tests: Perform and/or interpret various diagnostic tests, including:
Echocardiograms: Use ultrasound to visualize the hearts structure and function.
Stress Tests: Evaluate heart function during physical exertion.
Electrocardiograms (EKGs): Record electrical activity of the heart.
CAM Patch Tests: interpretation of ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices.
Order and utilize advanced imaging such as CT, MRI & Nuclear Medicine/ PET scans to aid in the diagnosis and therapy of cardiovascular disease.
Treatment Plans: Develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on test results.
Medication Prescriptions: Prescribe medications to manage heart conditions.
Lifestyle Recommendations: Advise patients on lifestyle changes to improve heart health.
Provide services in an outpatient and inpatient setting as necessary for optimal patient care.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited medical school; MD or DO.
Satisfactory completion of a MD/DO degree (or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
Passage of the United States Medical Licensing Exams (USMLE)
Satisfactory completion of an accredited American or Canadian Residency Program in Internal Medicine or General Cardiology.
Satisfactory completion of an American or Canadian Fellowship in Cardiology.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current professional licensure in Washington State required.
Active unrestricted DEA license required.
American or Canadian Board Sub-Specialty Certification In Cardiology
Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other medical professionals.
Motivation to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interpret clinical, genomic, and efficacy data.
