Job Responsibilities

Specialized care in women’s heart health: Provide tailored cardiovascular evaluations, diagnostics, and treatments that address the specific heart health needs and risks women face.
Preventive cardiology for women: Focus on early detection, prevention, and management of cardiovascular disease in women, including education on risk factors like hormonal changes, pregnancy-related heart conditions, and post-menopausal risks.
Patient education and advocacy: Offer personalized guidance on heart-healthy lifestyle changes, and educate women on the importance of early intervention and regular heart health monitoring.
Comprehensive cardiovascular care: Perform and interpret non-invasive diagnostic testing (e.g., EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms) and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care that addresses both general and gender-specific cardiovascular issues.
Ongoing patient management: Monitor and manage chronic heart conditions in women, such as hypertension, arrhythmias, and heart failure, ensuring long-term health improvement.
Stay current on gender-specific research: Keep updated with the latest advancements in women's cardiovascular health and treatment approaches to offer cutting-edge care.

Qualifications

Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease
Fellowship training or expertise in preventive cardiology or non-invasive cardiology
Valid and Unrestricted Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Experience or strong interest in preventive cardiology and promoting heart-healthy lifestyle interventions
Commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on education and prevention
Experience working with senior populations preferred but not required

Working Hours

8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Monday to Friday
Limited to no weekend call
