The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is recruiting a cardiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. Will serve within the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) and the University of Pittsburgh Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will conduct clinical and translational research focusing on the intersection of cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention and the optimization of brain health, particularly through the prism of lipidology and atherosclerosis.


Candidates should have a significant national reputation for research excellence with expertise in lipidology and background examining the link between cardiovascular diseases with neurocognitive decline and alterations in the Heart-Brain axis.


Candidates must hold doctoral-level education in the field of medicine (MD, DO), completed requisite cardiology training with board certification or eligibility, and must hold medical licensure or eligibility in Pennsylvania. Offering a competitive salary range based on experience, from $350,000/ year to $450,000/year.
