CHOC/UCLA/UCI Adult Congenital Heart Disease Specialist

Our program is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Specialist to consolidate the care of a growing adult congenital population of approximately 3000 patients in Orange County, California who are currently cared for within the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) system. The ideal candidate would work to deliver high-quality and comprehensive outpatient ACHD care, to develop a streamlined transition and transfer of these patients to the adult healthcare system, and to provide access to high complexity tertiary and quaternary care for the ACHD patients of Orange County through the Ahmanson/UCLA Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center. The ACHD Specialist would work directly with the 2 ACHD specialists at CHOC, the ACHD specialist and adult cardiology team at UC Irvine, and the entire UCLA ACHD team to consolidate and grow the program.

Position includes clinical and research opportunities with the Ahmanson/UCLA Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center and Faculty Appointment to UC Irvine School of Medicine.

CHOC and UCLA recently created a combined congenital heart program with the goal of providing the highest quality congenital heart care for the patients of southern California.

This Adult Congenital Heart Disease Specialist would work to augment the already thriving UCLA/CHOC Congenital Heart Program in partnership with UC Irvine Medical Center.
