Medical Director, Echocardiography Lab, for an Academic Cardiology Practice in the Saint Louis Metropolitan Area
We are actively seeking qualified candidates for Medical Director of our IAC-accredited echocardiography lab at SSM Health-Saint Louis University Hospital. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in further developing our advanced echo lab in an academic setting.
Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient practice, inpatient rounding, transthoracic and TEE, structural echo imaging and outreach. The physician will work in collaboration with the Medical Director of TEE to advance our growing structural interventional practice.
The successful candidate will have allocated administrative time to focus on protocol development and clinical research.
Preference will be given to candidates who have additional training in advanced echocardiography and those with established research interests/grants in echocardiography. Clinician Scientist track will be considered for appropriate candidates. Active licenses in Missouri and Illinois states are expected prior to start date.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will be board certified/board eligible in cardiology
- Academic appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's credentials and experience
