Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Cardiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County’s Heart Health Center provides heart failure patients with comprehensive services to improve heart health and maintenance in a community-based setting. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and trains their medical students and residents and fellows.

Opportunity Details

  • Clinical responsibility - Management of daily patient load with fellows, providing comprehensive care.
  • Interpret and analyze echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors
  • Clinical Support Staff including: clinical psychologists, clinical psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, clinical pharmacy specialists, and social workers
  • Collaborate with a team of three Nurse Practitioners to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
  • Participate in four yearly on-call rotations, including home call responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to residents during clinical rotations

Qualifications

  • Echo Certification
  • CT or MRI a Plus
  • Current NYS license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology
